Year 2006 is coming to an end in just a few days' time.
What's happening and what has happened will soon become histories.

Let's just skip the first half of the year, I was working and nothing much happened.
Till May, I entered school again after a 5 years' break. It has been a fun and yet agonised experience. Results were sort of a motivation for me, friends were cool. I got nominated for NATAS award but lost it to my classmate. Things went down for me and I was like a living corpse, without knowing what to do in life.

In the later part of the year, I soon blog less and less. All because I find them troublesome, take for example, my fussy;bad temper changing to a new patient me, my usual long hair being cut to look more like a student, the tour guild camp, tourism classes' visit to Thailand, Princess Cruises project, the recent Christmas Eve countdown. Minor things like buying Lucify's official t-shirts, things going on at Mac SP, my newly-passed license, new K800I and the renovations going on in my house. The friends I have met throughout the year and those whom I have really seen through. The frequent fine-dinings which many bloggers like to blog about. There are just so many happenings, but I would rather not blog it due to my laziness. Will this blog still be valid in year 2007? Hopefully yes. And at the same time, I just wanted to keep myself more busy and earning more money, working towards my goal. Take that as my new year's resolution.

I miss good friends like Shirley and companies, Panther and the leopards.

And since year 2006 is all about school, this picture serves it's best use as picture of my year.

Till then, happy new year and forget me not.

Some of the songs I always sing when I patronise the family KTV:

- 除此之外, 你爱我吗 by 范逸臣

- 我爱的人 by 陈小春

- 第一次, 童话 by 光良

- 痴心绝对( must sing), 手放开 by 李圣杰

- 爱一个人好难, 男人不该让女人流泪, Sorry by 苏永康

- 唯一, 爱的就是你, Forever Love, Kiss Goodbye by 王力宏

- Let Me Die by 谢霆锋

- 寂寞边界, 当你孤单你会想起谁 by 张栋梁

- 纯真, 天天想你, 温柔, 孙悟空 by 五月天

Let's leave English songs alone. Just looking at the chinese titles that I sing, It's pathetic. Not even a happy song and I don't know why.

GST is increasing yet again.

After all these years of living, i have come to notice that everything around me has increased prices tremendously. They include bus and MRT fares, cigarettes and even food. Among all, i felt that transport and tabacco increased the most. From the first bus I took which costs 25cents to the current 83cents? And cigarettes from the time I started smoking, $2.70 per 10 sticks to $11.20 per 20 sticks.

Back to the topic, GST (Goods and Service Tax)

I am sure everyone has eaten in a restaurant. Do you ever read the receipt? Which shows the service charge and GST? I wondered just now, since GST is included, why must service charge be included too? Even if so, the restaurant should charge only 2.5% for the goods tax. Why are we to pay two times the service tax/charge? Will someone correct and convince me that I am wrong to say so?

And since everything around us has increased their prices, what about the pay? Economy is picking up, so should the basic pay of individuals. I pity those lower classes. They worked so hard to earn that misery sum of money to pay for all bills and etc. And subsidies always take alot of procedures and time to process, and not all of them gets approved.

However, we cannot complain much also. I always thought that the standard of living in Singapore is high, till I went to Bangkok two months ago. I doubt their salaries can get as high as ours, but yet their things in the local shopping malls cost around the same price as ours. Let's wait till the integrated resort is built, I am sure things are gonna happen. Let's just hope it would benefit the people better.

Do you remember zhng my room? And that I promised to update? Here it is, though it's not the colours I had expected. And it's just completed and my room reeks of paint smell.

Does anyone knows why the pictures I take now turn out to have 'lines' around them? Click to enlarge
